Dr. A.G. Khan

Dr. A.G. Khan, Faculty Development Consultant and Member: IHM-A Board of Governors, is an accomplished academic with over four decades of experience. After a Doctorate in American Literature, he joined the Department of English, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in 1979. He has been engaged in teaching, training, research and held eminent positions at the University such as Professor & Head of Department of English, Director: Academic Staff College. Director: UGC, NET, SET and Pre-IAS Coaching Center, Director: Board of College & University Development and In-Charge Vice Chancellor.

Dr. Khan is an erudite scholar with talents of a polyglot with mastery over languages such as English, Marathi, Persian, Urdu and Hindi. He has been awarded The Shastri Indo Canadian Fellowship in 1988, International Visitor Programme, United States, The Summer Fullbright Programme, University of Louisville and British Council Inward Mission Programme.

Dr. Khan is an accomplished research supervisor, having supervised approximately 34 Ph.D Scholars & 16 M. Phil Dissertations. He has authored publications, translations and research papers in English and Urdu. One of his collection of poems was chosen as Book of the Year by Maharashtra State Sahitya Academy. Subsequent to voluntary retirement from the University in 2012, he joined as Director: Dr. Rafiq Zakaria Centre for Higher Learning and Advanced Research, Maulana Azad Educational Trust. He is now a Senior Advisor to all academics on the campus.
